Pre facelift fogs

Does anyone have a set of pre facelift round front fog lights they're breaking or have kicking about?! My driver's side front is smashed and it's really bugging me, before I buy brand new I thought I'd ask :)

Does everything else work? Not broken? Just cracked glass?
I say this because you can use the BMW Mini fog lights from gen 1 (you need to swap internals over). Could also give you a hand with it if you need, we have a compound in Taplow, which would be middle-way for us both? If you need.

Thank you mate! The light works (I think!) It's just smashed glass on the front. Lord knows how it happened, but I was able to knock a few hundred quid off the sale price because of it!

I can get a whole new unit for about £80 but I wandered if anyone was breaking an e85 and fancied selling them on. What you're saying is the first gen BMW mini had the same lights? Taplow is only twenty minutes from me :)

That's an interesting tip, never heard of that one before and I do need to replace my driver side one. I can see the temptation, looking on ebay the mini ones are miles cheaper!

Yeah you'd only realise if you'd seen both... the externals are exactly the same so was a really quick and cheap way of getting round it. Also when I was looking online there was only one or two for the Zed, obviously priced high. The ones I've seen for the Zed also seem to have far more stonechips in the glass, so perhaps because of the placement the Mini R50 ones seem to be better condition as well. So again worth considering/factoring if you're replacing.

£30 is a lot cheaper than when I needed to replace mine. So a good option if you don’t want the faff of swapping components!
