Pre Delivery Requests?

Great find, still a shame about the door mirrors.

There is actually only 1 thing there to change and that is the drive away locking.

Here's the actual print out from the dealer (UK) when I had mine set -up a few weeks ago. As you'll see the desired results come from a combination of car programming and individual key programming

These relate to a 2003 3.0 roadster and for the most part are explained in the handbook.
(Apologies for the quality this is the dealer print out not my scan)

It shows you where to prey if you are that way inclined. I think your car needs a compass for it to work, or maybe jusy Navi.

As a footnote to this I asked the dealer how much to programme the car and keys and he quoted me 'about £20', commenting that the first pre delivery is free. When I returned they told me it had taken a long time and this 'sometimes happens as the programming does not work first time' then wanted £60.

Moral is to get a quote and hold them to it....

I don't get that. My first Z, I programmed myself at the dealer. They hooked it up to the computer, and I just pressed the buttons.

The system is idiot proof - it looks like the list published above, and you have touchscreen to set / unset the options. They are presented to you as a list. Not sure how this can take long. Took me less then 2 minutes to do ...

It should cost no more than FREE especially if it's your first time, and definitely if it's before delivery (when they're PDI-ing it). What they did is shameful for a car company that's trying to make a good first-buyers impression on you.

When (and if) you get the customer service call about the transaction, let them know about this.

Sure the first is free and should be.

When the costs come in is if you change your mind to want something else, out of warranty or not a car they supplied.

The nav firmware is easily available on the web and a 5 minute diy job. You want to ensure you get the latest 2007-2 map disks

Awesome that they are updating the Navi for you!!!!!! That sounds like a good dealer! Your a lucky one, mate. :D

Thanks for the info, i quite like having only 1 door open as i live in a big city. Always good to know my options though.

I also don't have the need to have both my doors unlock simultaneously. I'm the only one that rides in it, for the most part. Geez, how lazy is that not to want to push your button twice?

I'd like someone to push my buttons twice, please. :hattip:
