Practical Driving Tests

I haven't seen this subject under discussion here recently! For reasons I won't go into here, I now need to re-take a practical driving test. Does anyone know whether I will be allowed to do so in my Z4 roadster? I am aware that some named convertibles are banned by DVLA.

It's basically to do with rearward visibility, or lack thereof (my dad's a driving instructor and we'd chatted about some car options for him in the past). Not sure which vehicles are on the non-allowed list though, surely your local DVLA test centre should be able to advise?

I suspect it may be easier and more forgiving to hire a driving isntructor car to resit the test in
