For those interested, the Z4 ultimate guide has now been published........for those that remember a previous thread, the editor was looking for an original vehicle for the photo shoot - I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity.
No, I'm not on commission.

Great article and all the hints and tips you've read here on the forum.

Get this as part of a multi e-mag subscription. Great for loading up the ipad when going on flights etc.

Posted earlier this month, look on page 36 :P

Interested to read the key needs to be kept in the ignition barrel to charge the key fob battery - someone mentioned that you could use a toothbrush charger as an alternative but not how sure that would work???

Well the key uses inductive charging when it is in the car, and also what Braun use for their toothbrushes.

Yes I suppose, I wonder if a phone wireless charging device might also work?

Sent a key off for repair to one of the guys on ebay and it came back very quickly but the remote still doesn't work so I tried using it in the ignition and fine the transponder is working I guess as it didn't conk out. But still the locks don't respond and it probably needs a longer journey without trying to operate the buttons, tried the toothbrush charger but no joy having left it overnight, the other key works fine but if this one has a fault in the charging circuit or battery it won't work anyway so asking the ebayer to respond with a suggestion or to return it. I did state all of the faults when I sent it originally.
