Powerflex Front Wishbone bushes

Hi all,

I have been told twice now (once by a tyre fitter and another by a BMW indy who gave my car a health check) that the front wishbone bushes need replacing. I figured I may as well upgrade these to a polyurethane set as I get the impression this is a worthwhile, albeit not very costly, upgrade.

I have a 2006 Z4 3.0Si, and am looking for the exact part number to scour the net for? Anyone know for certain? I see that there are two types; 60mm and 66mm. But I'm not entirely sure what the difference is.

I am planning on sourcing them my self, and finding a local indy to fit (live in a flat, not jack or axle stands or sufficient tools!).

So questions are:

1) can anyone confirm the part number?
2) what is the general consensus in the up-rated bushes?
3) anyone know someone in the Bracknell/Reading/Wokingham area who could fit them?

Many thank all, appreciate it!

Chris.

Night and day after fitting and the alignment.

Car feels better at the front and the alignment cured the slight pulling to the left I had.

What's your mileage? Anything over 60-70k and you might as well do the whole wishbone while you're there.

I noticed a big difference.

Let me know if you want the Powerflex ones. I've been looking after people on here for the Powerflex bushes, I'm sure a fair few people will vouch for me and I'd be more than happy to extend the same deals to anyone else on the Powerflex Product.

Your 3.0si will have the 66mm versions (PFF5-4601).

Drop me a PM for prices.

Just out of interest do all e85/6 have 66mm?

From my experience so far the following applies:
- All E86 (non-M) have 66mm
- All facelift E85 (non-M) have 66mm
- Pre-Facelift E85 (non-M, 6-Cylinder) 90% have 66mm
- Pre-Facelift E85 (4-Cylinder) 90% have 60mm
- M models have a specific bush/housing.

Always worth checking before hand though :)

Strange how they use a different size on 4 and 6 cylinder cars that are pre facelift
you think it would all be the same size part.

lol this would've been handy a couple of weeks back when i bought new control arms+bushes, rollbar bushes front/rear and RTABS :P

I've been doing deals for months, people sometimes chirp up and mention me when Powerflex stuff gets talked about, but not always.
