For about the sixth time, today I experienced a massive surge of power just as I was about to change from first to second gear having joined a busy roundabout from standstill. It wasn't just a surge in revs, it was a really strong (extra strong) acceleration to the extent that I immediately backed off the throttle and then made the gear change. It was almost like a turbo charger spinning up or a road/race engine coming onto the cam. The only thing I can compare it to was when I rode a Yamaha RD250 in the late 70's which lifted it's front wheel too easily when you reached certain revs in 3rd gear, you just had to close the throttle! Any ideas? It's a 2003 2.5i with 107k. no mods other than CDV delete and still goes very well.
