Purchased Z4 recently off the for sale section in here.
Unfortunately unable to add photographs as works PC is preventing . I will be trying again.
I brought a 3.0 SE auto on a 2004 plate and am very happy with it although lockdown has meant that to date I only managed about 250 miles before it was garaged as I am back to work ( offshore) and will not be needing car again until probably end May should lockdown be over.
One thing I did notice and it happened a couple of times is when I put car into reverse and moved off the Power steering was not on and warning light on dash came on. Simple turn ignition off & on again and all ok. Should I be worried, could this occur when driving?
Secondly in my haste to remove a couple of what looked like tree sap stains I without thinking cleaned the areas with the wet newspaper that I had used to clean the window screen/windows. ( I know) This has left some very small scratches. I have read the detailing section for clues and brought some Jax wax from e bay. Plan to try and hand polish out. Would you agree this correct move. Car is black.
As soon as this current situation is over I intend to take the car to Snetterton and do a track day , with it being Auto any advice ?
