Power softop failure

Hi all, I have a problem with the softop on my '03 Z4 - lowered really slowly then will not raise - has anyone had similar scenario? is it likely to be motor failure?. Diagnostic plug-in did'nt (not main dealer) reveal anything useful. While I'm here - thanks for great tech info on 'shipkiller' site
