Power loss when turning right

Hi all. Has anyone got any ideas of what can cause power loss when turning right only.
I don't get any lights on the dash.
I've tried it withe the traction control turned off completely and it still does it..
It's as though all the traction control kicks in and it kills the power.
 
This probably won't help as is about a totally different car:

I had a Spitfire that did the same
When turning sharp right the indicator cancelling lug on the steering column would touch the wiring loom for the light stalk
Which had worn through the insulation
So the headlight circuit was shorted to earth
The circuit was not fused
So all the battery's power was dumped to earth
The lights went out
The engine died
Smoke came out of the steering column
Once straightened up again, the lights came on, clutch up, engine restarted.

This made right turns at roundabouts at night a bit of an adventure. I did eventually replace the dodgy bit of wiring.
 
Check that the battery connections are secure, one may have come loose and not making contact when turning right, just a thought

EDIT
Another thought, when turning right, try and move the key in the ignition (don't turn it off) just wiggle it and see if that does anything.
 
It's just died on me totaly. It was ticking over but would die as I moved off. Now it won't even tick over
