power hood failure z4 2003

can anybody help me or has anybody suffered this problem?

recently my power hood stopped working, both power buttons up and down and power light were completely dead. I removed the 3 fuses that operated it, 5,20and40 amps checked them all were fine i replaced them anyway checked the hood and it worked perfectly at least 3 times both opening and closing. Next morning it was completely dead again, took advice from this site disconnected the battery for 10 mins, reconnected and tested the hood which worked at least 4 times opening and closing without any problems. Drove the car a short distance decided to try hood again and it was completely dead with nothing working.

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this problem

Others will chip in with potential issues but I would be leaning toward a wiring/loom fault causing the issue- the wire breaks in the aged loom can cause intermittent issues

There are plenty of people who will help- I'm in Lincoln and have had loom issues that I've previously solved?
