Powdercoated 107s on a Titan Silver - what colour?

I'm planning to get the 107s on the Silver Bullet refurbished in the next couple of weeks (hopefully before Skye!)

Was planning on doing it myself, but don't think I would be happy with the finish. I'm also looking at it as an excuse to get them powdercoated in a different colour. And with the 15% BMW car club discount at the Wheel Specialist, it seems to good an opportunity to pass up.

My only problem is I don't know how dark to go - I've seen plenty of chat on here about different colours on 107s, but never seen any pictures. Does anyone have any suggestion for a Titan Silver?

I've narrowed it down to the following three:

Satin Matt Black

Charcoal/Anthracite

Smoked Chrome

Personally, I think smoked chrome may be too fussy and am actually leaning towards charcoal/anthracite - think they will look good, particularly with the CF roundels.

I was looking to get mine refurbished before Skye too and have been flirting with the idea of a colour change. Could you please get yours done within the next couple of weeks so I can see the pics and make my mind up!

Smoked Chrome - Although mine is Sterling Grey

I really like yours ranski - thats the main reason smoked chrome is one of my choices. I don't think it will look quite as good on a Titan silver however.

I know I am only one person against possibly thousands of happy customers, but if that is the wheel specialist in East Kilbride I wouldn't let them within am inch of my wheels.
They wrecked 2 tyres and never said anything hoping they had got away with it the finish was flawed and the powder coating so badly adhered to wheel that it started to peel away.
Mine are currently in being refurbed again hopefully by professional this time (he came recomended in my local area), just cocked up and forgot that this weekend was Easter and I'm booked in to Pro-grip on Tuesday for a wheel alignment and now not sure I will be able to get my wheels back in time,Oooooop's.
Anyway no amount of discount would get me near that particular franchise again.

Given how my wheels look at the moment, i.e. dark silver due to the amount of brake dust after the past week's driving, I'd say shadow chrome or anthracite. Is shadow chrome not just a bit lighter than anthracite anyway?

I think that would be a great contrast against silver painwork and is what I'd like to do with the spare alloys on Jo's silver Fabia vRS...

I think I will likely go for anthracite. I remember you mentioning that before Richard.I do know other people who were fairly happy with the Wheel Specialist bu going to try and fish around for other quotes later in the week. I'm hoping they've picked their game up a bit if they're being recommended by BMW Car Club.

There's a Titan Silver 3.0 at my work that has satin black 17" 103 (daisy) type alloys.

They look good!

My CSL reps are anthracite and reckon that colour could look good also on a Titan Silver car. Be good to see what you end up getting sorted JimmyPop

Don't get Anthracite, they look s**t. I would keep them standard but if you fancy a chance then id get a very light smoked grey, you dont want to contrast too much against the silver paint IMO.

Nah not on a 107, they are already the best looking wheel for the Z4 as standard.

Anthracite does look good on more 'spokey' wheels like CSL, BBS CH-R, BBS LM etc :)

Yeah, you're right really :)
Love the 107s in their natural state. JimmyPop, can you not get another set of darker wheels and keep your current ones au naturale?

Total rubbish! Go with Anthracite

Well it looks like it's either going to be anthracite or BMW silver (which is actually more expensive). Got another couple of places to call tomorrow for quote but so far my best has been TheWheelSpecialist, South Glasgow. Have quoted me £288 for one day service. I've provisionally booked the car in for next week.
