Cheers mr Tourette
Its not the cable...its the actual aux channel itself that doesnt have the punch of the cd player which you cant do much about other than install a new head unit, sound reproduction seems just as good with my fruity car cable..its just not as loud so you turn it up a bit morek31ron said:not sure if the cable has been developed further but the sound quality on the AUX cables when I had one is terrible. There is lots of discussion on here about it. I "think" it clips some of the sound, but depends how fussy you are.

Adds Bluetooth for calls and music streaming, USB Micro SD and AUX did a little review somewhere on here
If you install this, do you lose the standard AUX port?

Not sure it was just volume on mine it sounded like a chunk fo the frequency range had been clipped (I know others have similar experience) I would have gone DiCE but it was expensive and not very reliable when I looked, those cheap boxes look a good way forward or replace HU or AUX line in if youre not fussy on sound quality and just want some musical noise
