I would rather have the 3.0 but this is very pretty so would consider it even though it’s a 2.5

It’s also over my original budget but that always happens haha

What do people make of this?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293607084788

It’s for sale at leestatecars.co.uk

If it didn't have the aero kit I'd say it was about £1500 overpriced.

Aero parts are incredibly rare now and can command a fair whack if you decided to buy and sell on the parts. Skirts for example have sold in excess of £750 for the pair in recent times

It is the pretty kit that’s drawing me in as I’d probably rather have a 3.0 manual but it looks awesome

Well, you're not going to find many with a full kit on it. Only other things missing imo are m-sport seats and a MFSW.

Buy what excites you, but first and foremost buy on condition.

Best of luck!

Probably a silly question buts what MFSW?

It is pretty I must admit and I am a posy twat when it comes to cars haha!

I’ve messaged them to see what part ex I would get although I suspect not enough to make it worth not selling private

Worst case I could put it on a credit card for now.... least I’d get clubcard points

It is pretty I must admit and I am a posy t**t when it comes to cars haha!

Multi function steering wheel.

As for posing, I'm guilty as anything :D

That one also doesn't have the optional rear parking sensors or Bi-Xenon headlights.

I suppose you just have to ask yourself if you'd be happy going over budget for an Auto 2.5i with the Aeros and not regret holding out for a 3.0i manual that probably wouldn't have them - only you can answer that!

It’s a no from me.... 2.5i auto with fancy plastic bits :headbang:

It’s got really crappy ‘Acellera’ tires on and the wheel shown close up looks like it’s had the face painted without being split down.

There are much better ways to spend over £5k on a Z4 :poke:

It is pretty but I think your right the spec is poor for the price, thanks for your advice.

I didnt notice the crappy tyres (too drawn in by the pretty plastic bits lol)

Yeah I think your right, ill keep looking around, I would prefer a 3.0 manual anyway

Would never have an auto zed. Don't suit these cars at all. All it will do is drink more fuel and be sedate to drive. Hold out for a 3.0i Manual you wont regret it.

Oh bugger, I should have asked you before buying my sedate Zed  ...what zed do you drive. Got any photos

I still think it’s very pretty, I must admit an auto 2.5 wouldn’t be my first choice but I’m still tempted.

It’s sold.... was it you?

I’d also consider a 2.5Si..... 218 BHP and a lovely free reving engine. Not as much grunt as a 3.0i, but plenty fast if you keep the revs up (bit like a Honda S2000). Not sure how it would work as an auto though?

I loved my 2.5si. Plenty fast enough for everyday driving and on our busy UK roads. Also worth a look but again, manual would get the best out of it.

No it wasn’t me I’m still waiting for a sale on my 118d..... I debated borrowing some funds until my car sells but something told me not to on this occasion! Maybe the spec isn’t quite what I’m after although it was very pretty!

There are as many different buyers as there are Z4 models out there. Here's my 2 cents -
If you want the best roadster driving experience get the big motor and stick shift. That is the roadster concept and the original design of the thing. I love rev matching a series of downshifts. Anything less is just less experience.
There are those of us who believe having a roadster with an automatic is like have a girlfriend with an air pump :poke:

Of course not, just playing along to the newbie who was the voice of experience
His first post and the voice of knowledge.
I think the auto is just fine and in sports mode is a dream to drive
