Potential new seats...

Can anyone see any problems in these seats fitting?

I fitted something similar to my Z, they are too wide across the top. They rub on the trim just behind the top of the door. Also they are really really uncomfortable, looked good thou lol

What is the max shoulder width we can go to?

TomK posted a photo of his bucket seat in another thread and said the max shoulder width was 600mm/24'', so i assume 22'' should be OK.

I think the shoulder width will be OK but only just - Pole Positions (shoulder width 580mm = 22.8 inches) just rub on the door

However, you may have an issue with the base - the car is narrower due to the tunnel. Pole positions are 500mm wide at the most, and the seats I now have (Tillett B5) are only 420mm at the base.

If you look up the doemnsions of the Recaro Pole position and compare with that - definitely don't exceed those dimensions and try to have seats that are somewhat narrower across the shoulders.

Edited to add - of course the actual position in the car will matter - a narrower base will allow positioning more toward the center and thus a wider shoulder width; similarly a higher seat may clear the door trim (where my Pole Positions touched). Basically you really have to try them in the car ...

The measurements look to be ok and another Z here does have them. These are $699 for 2 which is a steal compared to worn M seats and look better imo.

Another brand with vertically the same seat have a 21" shoulder at $799 a pair.

Seems a better option to go for one of the above than M for me. They also do Red Alcantara too

What was uncomfortable? Back or legs or both? I was going buckets so compared to those these should be plenty comfy. I have standard seats at the moment which don't hold at all

The seats were definitely to wide when the seat is right back. I'm 6.3" so didn't work for me. Found them uncomfortable on the legs and arse.

The best seats are Msport E89 seats, they fit.
