Potential new owner

Just thought I'd say hi. Currently looking for a Z4 coupe. I'm a long time BMW owner, have had 7 so far, including a Z3. Currently driving a 5 series, and looking for something a bit smaller and more fun while I still can! I'm quite active on a couple of other well known BMW forums (bmw5 and bmwowner) so will certainly be hanging around if/when I find myself a Z4 :)

Hello and welcome. Good luck in your hunt. Why a coupe?
May the force be with you.

As you can probably tell I'm also a Star Wars fan :)

Yes good question, there are quite a few reasons. Firstly, I used to have a Z3 roadster, and although it was lovely with the roof down (all 2 days a year!) it was very noisy with the roof up, and as I do mainly motorway driving, I prefer a more solid feeling and quiet car. Secondly, they are quite rare, only a fraction of Z4s are coupes compared to roadsters, so it should hold its value better (although will cost more to buy of course.) The Z3 M coupe is in fact going up in value now. Also, I just think it looks better, very similar to the Z3 breadvan which in my opinion is one of BMWs best ever looking cars.

Welcome!

Other option might be to buy a roadster with the optional hard top? That way you get the best of both worlds!

Still probably cheaper than most of the coupes as well.

Whatever you decide, best of luck with it. :)

Perhaps an e89? You will have best of both worlds!?

Welcome to the forum and good luck on your Zed hunt.

Well after a month or so of looking and pondering, I've finally picked myself up a Z4 coupe :) I bought Nightyard's one, so you will all be familiar with it. Here's a quick photo of it (next to my old car)

I love how the car drives, can't wait to give it another blast on some quiet roads. I bought this as a bit of a 'doer upper' as I enjoy messing around with cars just as much as I do driving them! I think my first job will probably be to sort out the interior which needs some TLC, and then maybe I'll change the wheels as although I like the CSLs I prefer the standard MV2s (let me know if anyone fancies a swap!)

Anyway, will be posting on here much more regularly now :)

If they're original CSLs i'll take first dibs if you decide to offload them. Either swap the 224s plus cash, or give me a realistic price for them.

Nice motah!

Welcome Edd

I have also recently purchased a Z4C and really enjoying it.

Looking forward to seeing any changes you make
