Potential new owner (again..)

Hello again folks.. I registered here a year or so back as I was after a Z4m.. long story short, I bought this instead

It's now up for sale and I'm thinking a Z4m could be an option. I'm in Edinburgh and if anyone local-ish is thinking of selling a well-specced Carbon black or Silver Grey car, get in touch!

On another note, does anyone have any experience of dealing with West Sussex Specialist Cars? I notice they seem to always have a few for sale.

Personally, I wouldn't trust them, but that's only because they pulled out of a deal to buy mine last year after I'd spent £250 getting it machine polished and lost a day's pay so they could pick it up on a weekday, only to get a call that morning to say they'd changed their mind due to something that they'd known about from the start.
 
That's interesting to know.. Is there any known 'go to' dealers for these cars or do the best ones tend to go privately?

I don't mean to imply they are dodgy or anything, just that my one experience of them wasn't good.

They may be fine on their sales/service side, but were just a bit useless on their buying side. It may have simply been a ploy to try to reduce the price we'd settled on, but I simply told them not to bother making another offer or calling me again :P
 
I would tend to go privately,do you homework and be prepared to travel for the right car, however these guys are in Edinburgh so you could always pick their brains.

Cheers for the replies folks. Moving the GTR on for a few reasons... I have 9 points now largely thanks to it and I'm also away with work a lot and they cost way too much to have sitting around.

I haven't totted up what it's cost me since I've had it but I don't think it'll make me happy if i do!

Fantastic cars though, definately one to have on the bucket list

Yup, hoping the M will be less of a police magnet... I have a saab 9-5 aero as a daily and that's like a cloaking device by comparison.

What's everyone's thoughts on this:

Very Nice but for that bucks I would expect top spec not got heated seats for example and even thought the Carbon dash is nice , IMO would prefer paino black you should expect all the boxes have been ticked at the dealer on purchase. Been looking myself the past few weeks , I expected there is better example for around the 18k mark. There is a Stunning Imola Red with Cream Leather around that money somewhere think it only has 20,000 miles as well .... I know not black or grey but its lovely :)

Wouldnt be averse to a roadster, just we never get the weather for them up here!
 
Even although I am a Scot, my opinion doesn't count as I am daaan saaaf... I shall let the 5 of our number who between them just did 2,000 miles topless at the weekend persuade you otherwise :wink:

interesting regarding points.
i picked up an sp30 last week after coming off a roundabout in 3rd,into 4th and 46mph done!(40 limit)

Id been saying for a bit about getting a GTR,wonder what the roundabout exit speed would have been if i had?

3rd into 4th if you're gunning it could easily be into three figures... 3rd accelerating hard off a roundabout, probably 70ish

Cheers - Heated seats are what's putting me off that one tbh. Theres another one about the same money but slightly higher mileage and better spec with stratstones.

Red's a definate no, interlagos maybe but not red.
