Potential leak.

Hi
At present I have a gushing water noise running front to back and vis versa on the drivers side door sill area.
My partner seems to thing it the petrol tank, however i think it is a leak, the car hs been parked on my drive in the pouring rain and over recent weeks whilst driving on either a upward or downward incline, I can hear the water gushing up and down the car.

Other than potential leak, I'm of the opinion that a water drainage duct is blocked.

Any thoughts.
 
Hi Topaz,

This exact problem happened to my passenger side sill too, see chain below. If you remove the rubber jacking points under the car (pull the centre pins out first), or any of the plastic rivets under the car sill, the water will drain. I ended up removing the whole side skirt as it had clogged up with mud and silt, then gave it a good hose clean on the inside. It got in through the front wheel arch where the badly fitting wheel arch meets the body work.

Thank you for this - I was looking under the bottom to see what I could undo to see if I could drain anything out. I'm glad its not just me then??!! I dont know about you but this car is not all its cracked up to be and I have had queries with it since the day I bought it - but despite many letters the dealer refuses to deal with it.

Any way I will give that a go - thank you - @cos for quite an expensive car it sounds awful at the mo.
