Potential 'guitar playing' owner needing help please!

Right guys, I'm pretty much sold on the idea of a Z4 coupe... the only slight problem being:

I'm lead guitarist in a band, and won't have access to another vehicle. We do between 20-30 gigs a year, but fed up of it influencing what car I drive. Aside from the band, I have no need for extra space or rear seats. I'm pretty sure my amp and other gear will go in the boot no problem (based on some helpful dimensions i've found!) but I'm less convinced a guitar will fit in. No doubt they'll go in the passenger footwell without issue, but sometimes I have to drive a pesky lead singer around.

So has anyone tried/attempted/succeeded in getting an electric guitar (or two!) in a coop?

My bass doesn't fit in the boot of my roadster, it has to go in the front. It depends what type of case you've got I suppose.
 
Buy a cheap van!

Or tell the lead singer they'll have to endure the journey with your guitar between their legs!

Look on the bright side...you're not a drummer!

I think this could be the solution! The Flying V could be more problematic...
 
You would be surprised just how much you can fit in a coupe boot if its the right shape.

For instance I can fit a 5 man pop up tent and camping gear enough for a week put I can't get two tyres in the back.

If you take your guitar out of it case and wrap it in something I'm sure you'll fit it in the boot.

Another option is to turn up at a garage with your kit and test it out? Maybe a forum member in your area might help?

One of my accoustic guitars will fit in the boot in a soft case, but I can't get the other one or my bass in at all. My electric guitar will not fit when it's in its hard case but probably would without this. Mine is an ///M so I lose space to the battery. It depends on the size and shape of your guitar TBH. As suggested, take your guitar and case to the garage and give it a go.
If it helps, I also have a zither and that fits no problem :D
