Not quite sure what you mean by that, but if you're talking about seeing current posts rather than having to access different sections of the forum, on the Board Index you have:
• View your topics
• View unanswered posts
• View new posts
• View active topics
(sorry if that sounds obvious but I didn't notice it until someone mentioned that they track active topics! I think I'd bookmark General Z4 DIscussion)

'New posts' next to Search tracks what's new since your last login.

As far as I can tell...
Blue - updated since you last logged in
Blue with green square in top corner - as above but for a thread that you've contributed to
Grey - you've read it
Red - as blue I believe but for Hot Topics
Yellow / White - as blue / grey but for sticky threads

Hope that helps and isn't just the bleeding obvious!

A little white square in the upper right hand corner indicates that you have made a post into the thread.
A yellow line across the bottom indicates you have not read the post.

This isn't all the combinations but will give you an idea

means a topic you have contributed to, but has no new posts

ditto but one you haven't contributed to

means a topic with unread posts (and is "hot" not sure what defines hot though, number of views or posts?)

ditto but not a "hot" topic

sticky topic, no new posts

sticky topic which you have contributed to, no new posts

sticky topic with new posts

means a "hot" topic with unread posts,that you have contributed to

So basically -

greyed - no new posts
coloured - new posts and either a normal or hot topic
little square top right - a topic you have contributed to, if it's green there are unread posts
