One more cleaned the car for another 5-days-trip to the nice Allgaeu (Bavaria) in the south of Germany.

A totally fictitious Bayern vanity plate. I get such a kick out of it. Gives the car a genuine look of authenticity. But local law enforcement does not share my enthusiasm, even though I can show them the correct Maine plates with up-to-date registration. Nice try, they tell me. On the greens at a car show, Yes. On the roads, No.

O well, such as it is. It’s always fun until you get busted.

Thus, I include it here for our private amusement.

No, not in German eyes  because the plate always have one or two letters after the City abbreviation. Example: TÖL X 999

...and the TUeV sign (this pink sign) is round and not a hexagon on the rear plate. :o
The colour differs every year.
Now on the front plate there is no TUeV sign.

Not mine - wish it was - but happened to see this glorious example at NEC. Estimate was £160-200k, so it’s sold at the lower end, but still strong money. These get better with age. It’s a euro-millions win car

One more from Iconic… this very attractive Z4 fetching a very attractive price. Given the numbers being reached from some cars in their auction, this is an absolute bargain 🤩

I know I said I was done… but then I found another. And this 3.2 litre mark1 sold at strong money. Someone will probably tell me that the E development number is wrong??

Yes, it's actually an E85. E36/7 was the Z3 version.

That was strong money too, although it's virtually unused!
