Toledo is really very nice, looking good on those rims too… nice work

Thanks mate. I buy and sell a few wheels along the way and i knew there were a couple of different styles i'd like to try on the car and these turned out to be the best, and in friendly sizes too :)

Out and about yesterdat with a fellow Zed. Lovely experience to drive the M and Si back to back. I've shared my views in my build-thread

I thought we had a thread which went something like ‘what have you done to your Zed today?’ but I can’t find it! So, here’s a pic of our Zed today. Whilst it’s only 50,000 the stone rash to the front bumper was upsetting me (the age-old dilemma of a black car). After a summer of use, into the body shop and it’s come out looking ‘as new’. Terrific job by Get Smart, St Neots, Cambs. I’ve also had the rear bumper professionally polished as it’s previous owner had seemingly backed it up against a wall, despite having front and rear sensors! Two more things to do this month before a wash and polish and off to SORN sleepy land til spring…

Next up, today I’ve had the ‘wheel retrimmed at Royal Steering Wheels near Aylesbury. Two weeks from order to fit; I took our car to them and they swapped it over in less than 30 mins. Yes, it’s indulgent, but the look and feel of the leather is so much better than the BMW original. Thanks to others on here who’d recommended RSW (I’m going to send them the gear gaiter for a matching look). Before and after pics added but TBH they don’t do it justice.
(the keen observer will note JL’s London marathon medal 🏅)
