Those pics really brought back Some memories for me. I recall being at RAF Swinderby in Lincs back in the 1980’s doing basic training, my flight known as “9 Shite” by the training staff was stopped from going home on a rare weekend off as our drill wasn’t up to scratch and we were made to clean a Lightening which is featured in your photo, who knows maybe the same aircraft ? :lol:Vonlipvig said:Fantastic day up in Lincolnshire today

Went past Swinderby a while back. Couldn't recognise any of it. Bit sad really. Only 6 weeks of my life, but seemed much longer and has always stuck with me.
