I have many timer pics lol

But this is a selfie thread so as such i am sorry. They dont count.
 
Just catching up with this thread! Glad Rubes and I aren't the only ones to have tried this out! :thumbsup:
 
Whys that, a selfie is a pic you take yourself… doesn't matter how you do it…

Hints in the name :P
 
The Oxford English Dictionary definition is :

Selfie – "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website"

So in theory a photo on a timer could be counted as the definition says 'typically' not 'always'... But it originates from people snapping photos of themselves to upload, 99% of which I'd bet are not taken that way.
 
Whilst I entirely agree in the wording, when using a timer it is not necessarily a selfie in the fact that it's not obvious to the viewer that it is (in that there is no difference in perspective of a timer or third party taker). Whereas taking a picture with you holding the camera cannot in anyway be misconstrued as not a selfie and thus timer cannot qualify :P
