Post your Homecoming 2008 pics here

Hello,

The homecoming was just a blast! Sorry I missed meeting you all who attended---It was a hoot, so much to do in so little time, yes I was there, I apoligise in advance for not meeting our Z4-forum group members, I did meet some other folks and had fun! The tech driving event was the cat's A--
On another note, My wiefe opted for the 330I auto in place of the M-3, she beat the person who she was matched with for the rat race! "WoW" I was told by the BMW staff that the 330I has more torque than the M3 in the get go!!!!!!! Anyway, I did have fun and met WLH one of our Moderator's---The photo is a great piece of history to hang on my wall! I did meet our pirate friends-----Your camper just rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, thanks, and I will post my photos as soon as possible!!!!!!!!! Have some cool shots inside the plant!

Bob

Dang, I should have driven the 330i on the rat race. It had an automatic, which helped. That M3, held in 2nd gear, dsc off, will jump out from under you in a heartbeat! (it was fun, though  )

I drove the M3 and lost to the 330i also. :( I think the M3 has loads more torque though. It was very difficult not to give too much throttle, even at lower revs.

and I changed mine, dang it..........

all I know is it was an automatic and I had had my fill of those during the day.

They let you in the plant with a camera...during the banquet yes but not the tour. Now I'm curious.

Thanks to the Forum ID badges we had....

If you want shots inside the plant, you'll have to watch BMW's videos. I have some pics during the banquet when all you can see are the bodies sitting there with nothing in them but space.

I asked permission to take pictures of the 3 Zeds sitting in the open "atrium" inside the plant.

1st gear was way easier to control - just needed to ignore the yelling to shift into second :driving:

It was great meeting you as well even if it was for 2 seconds at the tech tent! Glad you had a good time!!

Well, I finally went through all my pics, so here are the best of them. Side note; most were taken by my 12 year old son, so there were a LOT of unusable pictures.

Preparing for the pano shot at sunrise.
