so ya do you guys have a none stock exhaust? if so, you wanna post the video of it on here? :D

mines a ravin exhaust dual tip i welded it on and removed the resenator and where the resenator was cut i connected the area to the exhaust with straight pipes i plan on removing the cats sometime soon hopefully xP http://s1136.beta.photobucket.com/user/xiaxio1/media/8073D09C-558F-4A3A-B193-7B4BD68FD08E-1798-0000015170F4AC10.mp4.html what do you guys think of the sound it was with an iphone so not the best quality sound the video basically ends at like 53 seconds btw

great sound i wish mine was a quad tip it looks more uh semetrical lol i guess but like the sound!! i kinda like that nice deep bass sound in mine i hope to get a deeped and louder one one day but not a stupid honda fart can tho haha!

hehe, I'm considering to replace the cats with sport cats and removing the mid muffler.
What difference did you notice after removing the x-flow? I thought x-flows were actually a good thing?

it could just be me but after everything it felt like the car acceleration was smoother but like i said it could just be me :P but so far i like it and plus like in the video i use the sport button alot so with the exhaust and the extra back fire from sport button it sounds awesome!

I've read that the resonator delete would indeed make it sound more "raspy", whatever that means, lol
If I delete the mid muffler, might as well remove the resonator...

I was also wondering: the typical z4-pops in the exhaust when you release the throttle, are they impacted when removing the x-flow? The pops are what I love the most!

OMFG FINALLY!!! someone that loves that too!! i still get it and it sounds more bassy! i usually get it around 2000 rpm around that area after release but yes i still get it and it sounds great with my exhaust and resanator removed, the pops are my favorite part too i just wish mine poped everytime i release :/ but if i ever get the money for a deeper and louder exhaust i would just die if the pops where even louder!! xD

I polished up my standard exhausts the other day....

Haha...

I was wondering the whole time whether anyone was watching me get intimate with my tail pipes.

They look awesome, any sound clips?

and yes... the pops in the exhaust are the best ! On my 2.5 that I had before (now have 2.2), they were louder when I changed my exhaust, whereas now with the new exhaust it's not really much louder. After trying to figure out why, I noted that on my 2.5 I had an exhaust mounted going from 2 pipes in the back box sport exhaust and only 1 pipe at the end, with a stainless tip mounted. As a result, I had too much backpressure. At low revs, that was actually a good thing and the pops were much louder, but at high revs it seemed as if it was gasping for air and at full speed I felt loss of power. This time I took a race exhaust with 2 in and 2 out, giving it a much better flow. Even with this race exhaust it is not extremely loud and it zounds smoother than my 2.5, real improvement. Anyway, still not loud enough for me

I swear my neighbours think I'm mad - being a 3.0 my tips come off, making them easier to clean... But it takes about 5 minutes of me crouching / lying down whilst twisting them violently from side to side and grunting. Which must look quite strange... I hate myself for it, but I can't help myself

Thats was in my work car park, and to make it worse is actually the disabled space! But its the widest bay there, and when we have a disabled visitor coming a notice it put out to leave it clear!
