... fun because the riding costs no single penny, ...

oh if only that were true, Id be rich :?

Well, the riding will not cost you, but surely the parts and customization will  i bought that real bike just 225 € (approx 190£ ?) and bought new parts to it more than the bike costed me.. But i consider that to invest to my own health! :)

things wear out too, just like on cars... suppose it depends how much its ridden :D

investment in ones health is a good way to look at it - mine comes from the money I would spend on a Gym membership :D

lol I have a gym membership and my bike cost my $3000 (1800gbp) plus its so rocky where I ride (mountain single track, downhill etc) you can shred a set of tyres in under a month if your not carefull... there $40 each :(

but the enjoyment and physical conditioning it provides makes it all worth it 8)

I had a Jamis Dakar XC or Sport (I cant remember) but sold many years ago.

It was a cracking XC/Dual Slalom bike which I mainly used for downhill riding.

Not a new bike but a new saddle! The saddle that came with my Focus was so uncomfortable!!

Good choice Taz x - Cube bikes are excellent for the money, usually well-specced compared to the competition and getting good write-ups in reviews at the same time...
