Hello all

just returned back from an amazing holiday in Las Vegas, Los Angeles & San Francisco, i do have some car related imagery that i will post when i get chance.

Anyway, after well over 13 hours of travelling here are my troubles:-

1. Tried to start the CooperS (to get the zed out from the garage) and its totally flat. all i get is a tick/clicking noise, it doesnt even turn over?. when you try and turn it over the windows actually move down very slightly along with everything clicking?. Now my first thoughts were the battery so i had the jump leads on it and still got nothing. The car has been left for more than 2 weeks before with no issues?. Anybody have any ideas?

2. Went to the local shop to get some supplies ready for the england game and reversed the car into a small post in the car park! gutted. The car seemed to bounce of it so it absorbed nearly all of the impact, however the down side is a 5p piece bulge as if a fixing has pushed through slightly.

I think its all turning to rat-s**t since i have returned to this sodding country but if anybody can assist with the flat battery? issue it would be appreciated!

thanks.

Flat battery. Stick it on a chareger for a few hours. Jump leads work if connected from a running car and left on for a minute or 2 before trying to srart.

SNAP....

On my previous 3.0 which I drained through non use during the winter, I could not even start it with a portable starter. It would only start after a 3 hour load.

Did kill the battery in 2 years though ... since then all my cars have been on trickle chargers, which is the only way to save a battery.

Thats exactly what i tried. still nothing though.

Run a few tests on the battery. See what its voltage is and if you can swap a spare one in and see what happens.

My best guess is the battery is flubbered
