Would a soft top be a security or a vandalism problem where you park Swiftly?

Shame you're so far away as you could've had a go in my 35is with pleasure.

The 'dark side' is a strong temptation is'nt it, hard to knock them.

Best of luck sleeping, 'tis the time of 'what if's'....

I was just going to suggest if he fancied it, he could have a shot of my 35is because I'm not too far away and I've seen swiftly pass by where I live and out and about on occasion.

Merc and Porsche were on my lists when I started looking and ended up with the Z'd. Used to love the SLK but then thought it was starting to date and I wasn't too thrilled with the boxter interior.

But you've got the itch and it will need to be scratched at some point. Took me a year, kept putting it off but eventually I gave in when I found 'the one'

Thanks for the offer Angie, but I have managed to grab a test drive in a 35is already :D

It took me over 7 months of searching and a lot of rejects before I finally found my current zed, so used to waiting.

Phew! My wheels are safe! not got the most ideal wheels for the amazing, cobbled roads round here but I get a good drift on at the bottom of Broughton Street

Did you get a test drive at Eastern by any chance? I've noticed they've got one up at the moment.

Best to wait and find the car you really want. I'm sure whatever you go for, it will be stunning. Your E85 is a real head turner. Only one that actually caught my eye

If this is your daily Driver, then I'd say thats your issue...Familiarity.

Get yourself a cheap daily and find a garage somewhere to park/store your Zed for a month, even if you have to rent one out of town. Do not drive it or even look at it.

Then count the final days of the month and go back to it. If you dont miss it or or get that thrill after a month, then sell it and move on. However, I bet that wont be the case.

For the cost of a rental car and garage, You will save yourself a fortune .....and a heartache

I bought PSW007's Zed last November as he went for an SLK. 6 months later, He was back asking me what I'd done with it and who I sold it to. Last weekend he was driving it back home again having twisted the new owner to sell it back to him !

I don't think Eastern had one when I was looking, managed to grab a test drive from another dealer though just a bit further a field :)

It's inevitable that a lot of you older (time served) not age, well maybe Carol, members.

Will be moving on now as the E85/6 gets on in years.

It will eventually be down to a few like me, my 2004 car is a summer toy (garage king) that in 10 years time when its looked upon as a modern classic ( not for value £ but for interest and just a nice old car  )

You'll be able to say I had one of those.

I wish I'd never sold it, there's nothing made like it today.

Enjoy your new car whatever it maybe :driving:

Hey - sorry I'm arriving very late to this thread - just curious if you're any further forward. Happy to comment more re 981 Boxster experience Nick in a non bias fashion of course. Have you had a drive in one ? particularly the S ? Let me know if you want one.

We had a fantastic blast in Europe and this weekend at the SupeCLAN charity run - chasing and keeping up easily with an R8 on the outward leg and a 911 Turbo on the return - I'm finding it a very special place to be though I do think spec is important.

Happy to help more. :driving:
