Possibly thinking to sell

I haven’t been on the forums or a Z owner for that long. :(

But unfortunately I am thinking to sell my ZMr.
I am still in two minds as I do love the car but being 6 ft 4 it’s not the most physically practical thing for a person of my stature. Also coming from an e46 m3. I do miss the extra space and convenience.

My cars currently on 102k miles now. Has a full service history. And about 6k miles until the next service. I have just ordered new pads and discs for the car.
I am the second owner of the car and it is in pretty decent condition for age and mileage. Not perfect but very good condition.
I’m looking at about £10,750 if I were to sell.

would anyone be able to convince me to keep the car or something as I’m still not set on either but the temptation of seeing a couple e46’s on the market keeps giving me a bit of an itch.

[ref]Simon 3.2M[/ref],

I would but weighing up the pros and cons I feel like the m3 wins.
Though the z wins in pure driving enjoyment.
I’m rather puzzled and not sure what to do.

In all seriousness mate if the car doesn't "fit" then it doesn't fit and no matter how good it is there's nothing other than the bare facts. At least you stick with the S54 if you go back to an M3

I'm 6'1 and I just about fit in the coupe, so the roadster is a definite no, you always feel like your head is sticking above the windscreen.....I'd go back to the 46 if I were you.

[ref]Angelus666[/ref], funnily enough I actually decided to buy a z4 after driving my friends coupe. Didn’t feel too claustrophobic in that. Can just about feel alright in the roadster but long journeys are questionable.

Could be of interest to me if you do decide to sell

I suspect, there’d be a good amount of interest, in a Z4MR with just over 100k on the clock - with: a decent full SH; low number of owners; new discs ready to be fitted etc etc at well under £11,000..

OP: FWIW - if it’s not for you, I’d be moving her on now and sharpish, before the Winter sets in and prices, depress seasonally lower..

Good luck, with whatever your final decision is though..

A //M has to ring your bell, somewhere, somehow.

There are so many reasons why I should not have my //M
- logistically I don’t need it
- logistically its stored in a location 20-25 min away
- the wife hates it
- it does half the mpg that my other cars do
- it doesn’t get used that much
- road tax is much much higher
- expensive to maintain properly & I can always find things to do to spend money on her
... the list is long & the above is in no way exhaustive, but they all go away becsuse she has a number of key attributes that rock my Mojo boat, big time

If your //M’s not massaging your mojo... as above... time to move on... just make sure in case u regret it

Very wise words!

You don't want to take a deposit on your P & J and spend the next few days looking for another one! :o (I should know).

Niro777 I too would be potentially interested in the car, if you decide to move on.
Obviously woolybear should have first refusal. :driving:

But what ever route you decide to go. Good luck. :)

'the wife hates it'

That made me smile!

Mrs Tidy and I moved to separate addresses in 2011, but are still on speaking terms.

When I got my Z4C in 2014 she loved it - mind you if we'd still been together I'd have probably had to buy a kitchen/bathroom makeover or a conservatory instead.

I'm the very humbled & proud owner of a Z4MR, that only done a smidge, under 37,000..

I've commented on the OP's post, purely as IMHO, it's a cool looking Z4MR..
I rest my case..

Seanoog : get off the fence dude; get those pennies out  & go, bag yourself a low priced, Z4MR. Maybe, off Niro777 :driving:

Cheers,

Didn't Tyreman jump in first?

Thanks Simon, good spot. Sadly I misquoted woolybear. :headbang:

If Niro777 chooses to sell, I'd very much be interested in discussing it's history, condition with him, and potentially buying it in the future.
After Tyreman takes first look.
