Wife's getting on to me to get something bigger as she cant get her 'weekend bag' in the boot :oops: apparently the Boxster had more space?
so rang a dealer today for a px price and was quoted 17k :(
what's your thought s and the possibility of a better private sale?

all car info is in my sig apart from the reg which is a 60 plate, still under warranty and only on 11k miles
 
I've seen one advertised for sale around that figure, same age and only 6,000 miles on the clock.
 
Just getting 17.5k part ex on mine which is a manual with 20,000 and is a bit scrappy, stone chips, alloys need a refurb and two rear tyres £600 and a little gash on rear bumper so think your should be worth 18k at least although was only offered 16k by another dealer and this is against another Beemer. :|mine is also a 60plate is yours a m sport that does make a difference .
 
just do a glasses guide check they also can ask for a dealer to give you a price, always worth getting one before the big jump so they know you know.

Then it depends on what you are getting.
Have a laugh and try webuyanycar.com they wanted to give me £15,330 for a 10 plate 3.0 31K miles.
Glasses for top px 18.3K (mine was mint, not a scuff). Parkers guide suggested £17K and I got that. Saying that my new car 62 plate should have been £30k according to glasses franchised price and it has a px value higher than what I forked out so loosing a proposed 1K for top px Im 4K up on the deal.

I guess if I went to another BMW garage that had a similar car it would have been a few K more so they would have been able to move to my true px value of 18K at the expense of the car being £2k more so in the end it would have cost me over 1K more, but conned into thinking that I got higher than book price for my px. So its all relative and its the actual cost to change thats absolute not the px value and screen price. e.g. 17K px purchase price 25k v 19k px v 28K the latter you will be chuffed for getting more than px value but all they have done is discounted the screen price and are still 1K up on you.
 
lol no dont think that way but it says between 24 and 29K but with 29 to 31 dealer sale price
