Possibly a newbie question...

Hi,

This may turn out to be a daft question, so apologies in advance if it is.

Im really interested in attending a meet at some point in the future. My only concern is that my Zed is only a 2.0l. Do many 2/0l's show up on meets? Can they keep up or do they normally slow everyone down?

I know that a lot of people will say anyone is welcome etc, but obviously realistically, i wouldnt want to turn up and ruin the guy behinds fun because its missing a couple of pots

Thanks. :driving:

At our last meet in Skye a couple of weeks ago there were 2 x 2.0, 2 x 2.5 and 5 x 3.0 and no the 2.0 didn't slow anyone down nor were they stuck at the back, get yourself along to meet and don't worry about it, size isn't everything.
Not sure where you are but Islay at the start of September should be a good meet as will the National in July or maybe you just want to try something smaller to break yourself into it all.
Hope to see you around somewhere.

2.0 is no problem - it just needs a bit more effort and concentration from the driver - those with bigger engines can overtake easier!

Come along to any meet - it's not a race :)

North yorkshire on Sunday?

Only been to one meet in my 2.0i. No trouble keeping up at all* (:fuelfire: ), but TERRIBLE trouble getting out of Windsor!!! I think I may have been the only 2.0 in the group, no-one laughed or pointed or made faces at me. I even led the group (the wrong way admittedly) for a short time.

As for getting in anyones way...I think you'll find they will come around you quite *effortlessly if they get the inclination/opportunity. It was a blast.

I've got a 2.0i and have been to a couple of meets with the Forum - Fife and Isle of Skye. :driving:

If you're new to driving in groups, then I would suggest that you get yourself up near the front, because on the back you're always playing catch up! It's good fun but hard work with less bhp to help out.

I honestly feel that it's not more horses I need, but an ECU re-map to get rid of the bloody great flat spot right in the middle of the rev range. :headbang:
