Think it may be time for an upgrade also just taken a delivery of a Ducati 1299 so thinking what could I sell the Z for... And guess you guys are the experts!!

So before I give you the spec this car has full BMW main stealer service history and is still under BMW EXTENDED WARRANTY - haven't seen another for sale with this!

2004 (04) e85 3.0i roadster
Automatic
85k miles
Silver with black roof
108 alloys with Bridgestone runflats
Professional Sat Nav
Dsp Carver hifi
Heated electric black leather seats
Multifunction steering wheel
Clear light pack
Cup holders, wind deflector, etc
Folding mirrors
Xenon lights

The only thing I think it hasn't got is Bluetooth.

Don't Give me sleepless nights but realism appreciated and happy to wait a couple of months for extra cash and has just had inspection 2 at BMW including abs service abs new seals at a total cost of £866 :(

Thanks

Very similar spec to my SMG that I sold on here just over a year ago.
Mine did have a couple of small marks on the roof though....otherwise tiptop condition.
Had Intravee installed as well.
Let it go for £4200.

so is the BMW warranty not worth anything? It's maintained since new and is transferable and covers everything apart from wear and tear... I was looking for a 35is but can't find one with extended warranty...

Not a lot, as the age and mileage goes up they will wriggle out of more and more claims. There aren't many issues with these cars. The roof probably the most costly, but diy or a good indi and it can be done for a lot less than a main dealer.

Sold my 2004 3.0 manual 71500 miles, on Thursday for 6k

Had it on eBay, sold in 5 days. Was quite surprised myself. Had lots of interest in the car.

I've had the BMW Mondial warrant on both my Zeds. Both transferred from previous owners.
Had a £3000 job done on the E85 (Dual Mass Flywheel and a couple of other bits). This was after less than a years ownership and the car was 6 years old.
Just had another £3000 job done on my E89 (All 6 injectors and a controller.
My warranty prices were/ are £32 a month on the E85 and £42 a month on the E89 so I'm quids in even if I keep the E89 another 4 years or so and retain the warranty.

Had no problems with the warranty claims in either case but as the cars do get older I'm not so sure that any claims would'nt be looked at a little close re wear and tear.

I have a claim every year and BMW Sytner just fix the issues even the ones I didn't know about... Replaced roof motor, springs, sat Nav... They even drop a courtesy car off which usually a BMW 5 series so I think the warranty is good and they've never not authorised a repair... I wouldn't buy a car without it... Not to mention its European wide with courtesy car... And my car is 11 years old they treat me like I have a new M4!

This makes more sense than the £4K... I had a look online and no cars for £4-£4.2k... Cheeky forum users always after a bargain

nobody has said your car is only worth 4k mate... if you ask for opinions at least have the decency to read through the replies properly before you call people out

and by the way there are cars on this very forum selling from 3250 so you didnt look very far online... jeez some people :headbang:

GLWTS hope you get the money you are asking...... but the comment

Id think between 5-5.5k now and getting closer to the 5.5k if you wait until spring. I think Yorkie got a good price, members have sold similar cars for less. Also yours has more miles and id say more ppl want the manual over the auto.

From experience and looking at a z4 for a friend you don't get much car for less than £5k, obviously there may be an exeption but it may be hard to find a really good one for less.
We looked at one last week and it was in really bad condition, poor paint, rust, not a nice car at all.
Hold out for at least 5.5k I'm sure you will get it as there is a lot of rubbish out there.

Not sure if you've been following my posts. I'm on the hunt for a Z4 and plan to view an '04 3.0 Roadster tomorrow. That said yours really interests me. I'm Midlands based are you within easy reach?
