Possible sale of my Z4

My guess is that you are never going to use this car much, so you can either carry on as you are, going out for an occasional Sunday drive, keeping the mileage down and trying to preserve its value; or sell it and spend the money on something you will enjoy. Whoever buys it will do the same as you have, it wouldn’t make sense to pay a low mileage premium with the intention of piling the miles on.

Maybe it depends how much you enjoy driving it on the odd occasion that you do!

It must be near the bottom of its depreciation curve so keeping it shouldn't cost more than things like tax and insurance - if you enjoy it and can live with those why not keep it? It's not like you'd find it easy to replace if you sold it.

But good luck whatever you decide.

I’m in the Torquay, Newton Abbot area so I will keep a lookout for you and if I see you I will give a flash and a wave

Surely the answer is simple?

We love our cars, you have a low mileage example you just can't drive much for the reasons already stated.

If you can sell it for £5-6k, do so and buy another "normal" mileage silver 2.5 Z4 for £3k, pocket the difference, keep some for maintenance and spend the rest on two weeks in the sun.

You then have (except the wheels) the same car that someone has essentially paid you £3k to have.

The logic works in my mind anyway....
