Possible More power ?????

does anyone know if this would improve performance to my 3.0 ..... or just dent my pocket.

I don’t know about more power but it looks cheap and nasty to me. The welding certainly looks ropey to say the least.

That's one of the least convincing 'performance upgrades' we've seen on here for a while! Quote: " A lot different from other real cheap intake manifold in the market"

Surely a one-size-fits-all-BMW-engines isn't even going to fit, will destroy your torque and power spread and light up codes all over! I'd love to see the R&D spend by the Chinese manufacturer compared to BMW's.

Nooo

If you put that on your car besides the above the Chinese government will know your every move! :poke: :D

Hello everyone, my first post here, hope I'll be able to present myself and the car soon.
Just wanted to say that this intake doesn't fit correctly de M54 engines, the Z4 3.0 it's an M54, because the ports of the head are D shaped while the ones in the intake are an oval.
Not to mention the headache that would be to adapt the idle control valve and some other thing that work with the vacuum produced by the intake. Should be a no-go and personally I think it's more designed for a forced induction engine rather than NA.

If you stick that on a Z4 I have some magic beans for sale.

Good price and guaranteed beanstalk with a giant at the top who has a goose that lays golden eggs.

As always i'm loving the advice and witty comebacks. I didn't think it looked brilliant TBH but i'm clearly no Tuning wiz. Ill have some of those magic beans if the price is right though.

Out of curiosity what gives the 3.0 si engine the extra grunt over the 3.0 M54

It being an entirely different engine design, there's a tech guide floating about online with an intro that goes into the design goals etc.

Nothing wrong with thinking of ways to improve on the original, but the fact is that supercharging (not turbo) seems to be the only practical way to extract significantly more power from any of the M54 engines. They all benefit from advanced variable valve and intake systems plus the fuelling, mapping and air intakes have all proven hard to improve on (claims are made, more noise is made, but bhp gains haven't really been substantiated with independent testing).

The N52 gained some extra ponies with a more sophisticated variable intake (not a Chinese blob-welded bean can  ) better head design and reducing parasitic power loss, including by using an electric water pump. As far as I know none of the N52 kit will fit the M54. With these older engines the best route to more is power a proper service, decent fuel and maybe a vanos rebuild, but don't bother unless you have rough idle or soft pick-up.

Or buy an ///M :D

The N52 also benefits from valvetronic variable valve lift as opposed to just the variable valve timing (vanos) of the M54
