The only reason I say possible is the 3 photo's show the top in it's storage bag. so despite sellers assurances no proof of condition is visible.

Ooooooooh, I really need a hardtop as my poor Zed no longer has a garage to sleep in, and winters coming

Thanks for the heads up

Hi from a newbie!!

I spotted this hardtop as well and the guy will send you the pics to your e mail Addy, it looked good,

BUT.......its silver and i need Stirling grey and he says he has already been offered 1100 quid.....

So no use to me as i would still have to get it painted and a new one from BMW would not work out that much more expensive,

The guy seemed on the level though as had he wanted to sell it cheaper he said i could go to his house and he would help me fit it there and then,

btw he wants cash on collection.

Cheers Robin.

Way over priced if he's expecting that figure. I know one went on ebay for that money the other day in a silly bidding war, but market price has always been around the £800 to £900 for the most desired colours. less for obscure when factorin in a respray.

Can't understand why he han't posted pictures of the hood. Like showing my garage door to sell the Zed inside it

Here is the pics he sent me,

BTW i have no connection whatsoever with the seller!!!

this is all well dodgy, private email on listing, collection and payment on collection,no photos out of cover on listing but will email you, what is that all about?I wouldn't buy even if it was cheaper than this

but if your paying cash on collection it can hardly go wrong now can it?

UNLESS i am missing something ............

BTW, how does the heated rear window work in a hard top?

When you fit the hardtop it completes the circuit and allows the rear window heater button to work. Does a lot of other cancy like interlocks the softtop so that cannot wrk and operates the window up and down on the key (Rheinhold module or programmed) instead of the roof.

Thanks,

I will order one from BMW when i get home, Offshore South Korea just now laying cable

Though we will use my Cayenne turbo when the *hitty weather comes!

Or i may by a Cheap 4X4 and use that for the winter, that way the "Good" cars dont get messed up !!

Cheers Robin

I wonder why he did not show the front of the hardtop, possible damage ?

Look's a bit suspicious to me

How do they secure on then?

Fastens on by rotating 2 locking pegs, one on each side just behind the windows and rotating a single hex near the rear view mirror, that clamps the front to the same place as the softtop. All points are then hidden under trim covers. Very quick and neat.

Well if you win it thats a VERY big drive to pick it up (cash on collection remember) Still, a great excuse to drive round Scotland / royal deeside for a weekend perhaps!! :driving: :D
