Possible Group Buy - Brand new hard tops

OK, I've got what I would regard as a reasonable commitment from:

  • nightyard
  • andy
  • zedx21
  • myself
The cheapest courier cost for 4 tops that I've had is £650, so it would be £162.50 each, delivered to our doors.

Before I book the courier, can the people above please post either a "yes, I am in at this price" or a "sorry, I am out" message in this thread. Also, if anybody else wants to join in, now is the time to do so. [The cost per top for the courier is £225 if we buy 1, £200 if we buy 2, £184 if we buy 3, £162.50 if we buy 4 and £145 if we buy 5].
 
I am interested in a Toledo Blue top ,just a couple of questions.
How do we let the seller know who is collecting on our behalf as i cant speak any German.
Is the courier willing to deliver anywhere in England/Wales for the figs quoted,im in Wrexham. N Wales.

I have been told by people who have bought their tops from this dealer that they speak very good English. Also, as the courier would be collecting them all at once, I'm sure that (if necessary) we could find a German speaking friend who could explain what is happening.
Yes - I've explained to the couriers that the drop-offs will be in various places in the UK. Obviously if somebody who lives near the extremes (Aberdeen? Lands End?) wants one, there might be a small additional charge.

I can say 99.9% of the German sellers I have dealt with speak English and the guys in Munich dealership are no exception. all my communications with the time were in English.
 
Going to have to be sensible and pull out, 2 days ago I would have said yes but somethings come up....like usual :headbang:

Thanks for letting us know. These things happen and I hope that whatever came up gets sorted out soon.

I'm afraid that I'm going to put an end time on this of 8pm tomorrow (Monday 28th).

If we don't have 4 or more people confirmed by that time, then I'll cancel the group buy.

There are 2 reasons for this:
1) Those who have already confirmed are (understandably) wanting to get closure.
2) The potential savings just aren't worth the hassle. (If I buy the top myself, I pay £225 for the courier. If I can get 5 people together to buy, and if nobody pulls out, and if it all goes smoothly, then I pay £145. It's a lot of work/hassle/risk to just save a maximum of £80).

If I do have to cancel, then I'm very happy to pass on details and prices of couriers so that others can make their own arrangements.
 
Sorry guys I'm bowing out for now, as per PM to Phillip .. Just a bit too soon for me as I'm in the process of getting a roller shutter on my garage to turn it from a 'carport' .. just don't need the hard top getting in the way yet as I wouldn't want it on the car, it's likely to get stolen or even damaged.

It's a good deal for those who go ahead, I'll be jealous when you post pics & will probably revisit this in a couple of months .. Thanks again & hope it's not slowed you down Phillip :thumbsup:
 
hi there am i too late..... i only got the car on sat!

i dont know what colour my car is and ive not read the whole post but if its not mega cash then i might be up for one.

are they easy to fit/bog to store etc???
