Other than alloys & springs i'm a numpty when it comes to "performance mods" so would like to hear more on these as i think ive just purchased something similar for my TT
Supposedly offers much freer breathing :?
A TT forum guy was offloading it & seemed too good a opportunity to pass so should have it on the car this weekend :drivi

Last time I used Roy for a group buy (a few months ago) it was trouble free and very efficient, but I had heard bad things in the past but I think they are in the past now :)

I am Interested if 5 is are, won't be able to do anything until Tuesday next week at the earliest though as I'm waiting for my handbrake to be looked at and it all depends how much it will cost :)

Ash

What was the group buy out of interest, must of missed that one :D

Loads of things but mainly Grumpe M intakes and RTAB limiter kits :)

Could you ask what deal he can do if we get over 10? I reckon it maybe pretty decent and I think we will get enough interest :)

mr wilks, those are really popular with all the 1.8t owners. If you're not careful, it may find its way onto the GTI!

Yeah I will send him another email and ask, I would think maybe another £10 maybe but would not think too much more?

The decision for me is whether I go for the dry or oiled one? Don't want to risk damage to the MAF so would be good to hear from poeple who have had this or similar too

Haha , this is a rare V6 kit though  + my son's Gti is off to pastures new tomorrow all being well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171656373166?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

He has a tastefully modded Golf R32 MK4 in his sights :driving:

Good luck...give him a metaphorical kick from me

Ha ha

Out of interest did you get the dry or oiled one? Did you notice any drop in power / throttle response or did the heat shield do the job?
Mine is oiled. I've had no problems with the MAF and certainly no drop in power. I've run it back to back with the OEM airbox on track days where it is under maximum duress in terms of power demand and potential for heat soak. (Subjectively) it seems to rev more freely at high RPMs but it's hard to be sure. Of course, how the non -///M engines will behave with same intake cannot be predicted from this...

Right just spoken to Roy again.

Looks like we have a few people on here interested.

I am going to order mine now and pay the £381 which includes delivery and customs charges.

To get the group buy Roy would then want a furthur 5 people to pay him £358 and once he has 5 people paid he would then place the order for those 5 units. The understanding is that if only 3 or 4 people pay and he gets no more then once poeple are commited that's it and they would have to be prepared to pay the £381. If we get the numbers then I would then just pay the same as everyone else which would be, £358 so Roy would just refund me the £23 extra back that I paid.

I believe the group buy through Roy for the Gruppe M for the Z4M owners the forum member bought them all and got the money back from each member and once received from Roy he then sent them out to everyone. I haven't got the spare funds to do this let alone the time to post them with working all over the country each week.

Obviously it's a lot of money and it's getting people to commit and pay but even the £381 is the best price I have seen and is discounted as it should be £418 plus postage.

Roy's number is, 01202 822792 If you mention the Group buy organised by me and as soon as a member pays, Roy will email me so we can keep track of who has paid. It would be good to also post in the forum your name and paid next to it too so we can keep track on here too.

My only decision is whether to get the oiled or dry? :headbang:

Roy sent me an email about the Gruppe M filters too.

They would be, £640 and 10% off that price for 5+

Just throwing this out there to people too but that's a serious wedge of money that for an air filter!! :driving:
