Possible fuel starvation problem

I think I've broken something again or maybe it's not my fault for once!

Here's the symptoms:

Two days ago while joining a motorway at high speed on a long right hand bend I thought I was losing power, I had my foot flat to the floor but there was no acceleration. I thought it was a one off or perhaps my imagination until today. This morning I was going round a roundabout at high speed and just before I turned off at my exit I definately felt a drop in power. As I straightened up and took the exit the engine spluttered and what felt like the rev limiter kicked in. I was at approximately 5000RPM at the time, the limiter usualy kicks in at 7200RPM. After a few seconds the problem cleared.

I had just over half a tank of fuel and my TC/DSC was switched off.

It definately felt like fuel starvation however fuel feed problems to the pump is unlikely. It could be the pump failing under high lateral G's but this seems equaly unlikely. Both are possible I suppose.

Has anyone encountered this kind of problem or something similar?
