You can get a blank folding modern key on ebay it comes with a transponder inside that will have to be programmed to the car. As far as I am aware the function that allows the hood to be lowered from the key is coded into the car not the key. The central locking function inside the key is what commands the locking/unlocking and hood lowering, the latter has to be coded into the cars comfort access system. This can be achieved using NCS Expert software. The battery inside the key only powers the central locking function, the transponder has no power connection it is just read by the aerial around the ignition switch. If your original key has fallen apart you may be able to recover the transponder (small rectangular black chip) from it and use that in the replacement key, if you can then you would just need the key blade cut, local locksmith should be able to do it. Alternative is to send the broken key to one of the companies that refurb keys and upgrade to a folding key with them. Once you have the new key back then it will have to be synced with the car and all other keys you have must be synced immediately after each other in order to get them all synced. Instructions on how to do that on older threads on this subject if you do a search.
