Morning forum
So , how many of the G29 crew have portion blue?
It’s definitely a big possibility for me (when I finally have enough money)
But have not seen one in the flesh. Only photos .
Those who have them , what’s your thoughts please

Can’t provide a a picture of a Z4. But I had a 330e Touring a couple of years ago in Portamao blue. It is a lovely colour.

Love this colour, finally the G29 got a good blue on the facelift. Serious lack of colours available at BMW nowadays and individual not an option on many ranges.

I’ve just sold that JCW Countryman after owning it for just over six months. It was the most frustrating and annoying car of the 80 or so I have owned. Everything had to be operated from a screen and the interior was covered in recycled carpet. There were loads of other annoyances too. It drove me mad.So you see I think I must have caught something from my association with you.

My first choice of colour but HUD was a must have so had to compromise and take a Red car. Tough decisions!
A great car, great engine if you want the soundtrack use Sport Plus

The G 3 series looked very nice BTW.

I see a G29 2.0i in Portimao with Ivory interior on a regular basis. Lovely colour combo and they have specced the shadowline exterior pack which works really well.

No, the derogatory comment was about the green Countryman we had. Green isn’t your favourite colour is it? We really liked that car. It had a good balance of screen features and physical buttons and the tan leather interior was really lovely. We made the mistake of being seduced by the garage onto buying the new generation JCW. The handling was really good but the interior was dreadful. The dashboard was made of recycled carpet and absolutely everything had to be operated from a central OLED screen or by voice control, which rarely worked. The leather seats were synthetic and there were all sorts of gimmicks. Even the software was unreliable. The fan went from very low tha extremely high with nothing in between. Overall it was just awful. So there was only one solution. We are now the proud owners of a Mazda CX60 PHEV with a beautiful leather interior and lots of physical buttons. All of which work.


The G 3 series looked very nice BTW.

A big Mazda fan here, having had 2 '6' estates and a '3' hatchback. Mazdas just work, every day, without any drama IMO. Never been as glam as Hondas or Toyotas, or as expensive, but they make great cars.

I actually see a BMW today in portimo blue with black shadow line kit … I wasn’t disappointed

Glad you have found what you wanted. It really is a rich colour. I would have it again.

But I just wanted to have a real look at the colour
Rather than a photo
I will be saving for a while yet , and look forward to finally getting the car in that particular colour
