Popular Z4 Mods?

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a 3.0 Z4 in april, can't wait :)

Coming from other car clubs they always had a mod section to see what people had done to their Z4, you guys don't seem to have one though just pictures of standard ones.

What are the popular mods that people do to their Z4's?

Cheers,

Matt

Are you going pre or post facelift a lot of mods done bar runflat removal and stubby are moving the car to 3.0 si spec - m sports wheel m seats clear lights. If these are things you want to do it's worth thinking about an 06 car .

CDV removal or modification, On an 03 /04 would and have removed

Bear in Mind A stubby is not obligatory

TBH there are lots of mods done but not many that stand out, the most visual being non OEM wheels. Mine has

Stubby Aerial
Blacked Out Grill
OEM Carbon Fibre Leather Interior Trim
Short Shift ZHP Knob
Retrofit SatNav
CDV Mod
Falken 452 Tyres

As above lots done but out of site remember this car is stunning out of the box so not a lot needed in the looks dept just a little cleaning- debadge, stubby, and then the retro fits clear side repeators+headlights M.seats + steering wheel if not specced from factory

Most of the mods are retro fitting oem parts that you may not have specced already.

Smaller stubby aerials and regular tyres are the best easiest first do's. After that its whatever you want, but there arent a huge amount of aftermarket bits for the car. What kind of mods do you like? Performance or cosmetic?

Sound generator is a good free mod to start with.

if its a 3.0 model it comes with the sound generator. As the others have said, a stubby aerial is always good, along with clear indicators rather than the amber, although that will depend on what year you get, i.e. pre / post facelift. happy hunting!

Hi guys, I am hopefully going to be buying a z4 soon. For insurance purposes i will be buying a 2.5 or 2.2.

The sound generator , how much does this cost to put on?

thanks
