Thinking of getting a pop-up garage for the z over the winter months,
And was wondering if any one on here had used one and what are the pros & cons!
or just any pointer would be a help. cheers

The carcoons look pretty decent. Guy down the road has one for his Bentley as planning regs round here are tight. If they toned the silver colour down a but I'd be considering one

I've already got a garage but I sooooo want one of these...

Along with many other things, this is on a bucket list now. haha. What a gadget!
It'd be great... could pretend I had Thunderbird 85....

Definitely Perry, That would make my day, I'd take the car out at every opportunity. I'd prefer it if you walked down into it (or had a tunnel from a basement) and came out with the car, but I won;t get too picky. :crazydude:

I'd have to hook up something so it played the Thunderbirds launch music as it rose out of the ground...

...and, rather than a tunnel, if you had a roadster like me, you could leave the roof down and have a slide that deposited you in the driver's seat... just like Virgil's entry into Thunderbird 2...

They are ahead of you there Tom :D

"The Cardok Multi was developed to meet increased demand for a larger solution.

The double-length, double-width or double-height platforms can accommodate up to four vehicles. Access to the lower deck from within the house can also be built in."

Such a cool gadget, I don't need one but somehow I still want it

hahaha, the images. I'm only going to feel like I've achieved goals in life if I have this kind of set-up. If someone hurries up and develops a detachable roof panel then we can work on the same slide design and save a bit of cash for the theme playing sound system, and maybe a bush and flower display and mini pond to sit on the top.

Annnyyway sorry OP. I recently got a stormworks cover from a member on here (y3putt) and it seems to be doing the job pretty well. It is the 4 layered version. I've been checking carefully and so far I haven't caught condensation on the car, the cover doesn't seem to get damp, it doesn't flap in the wind due to the undercarriage straps and I'm YET to see any marring or scratching of the surface (that said, I have not and won't ever be putting it on unless the car has been washed and left to dry out).

I missed your post Tony, I don't think the thread updated while I was on it. We could always make a Tracy Island somewhere at a halfway house for the zeds between Poole and Newbury :-p

i hope there is an over-ride facility for when there is a power cut, i'd also be worried about it filling with water lol, i can imagine seeing water pouring from the car as it lifts from the ground
