Pop up adverts

I have started getting occasional pop up ads when I go on a thread using my ipad is this part of using the forum or something with my ipad ?

I use something called AdGuard to stop this, it drives me mad, particularly when using my iPad

Using the above none of those ads appear, or pop ups.

Bit of a PITA occasionally when it blocks something like a link like a discount or special offer but you just switch it off to use that then switch it back on.

We should think ourselves lucky IMO. There are a lot of car forums out there (the ones that haven't moved to Facebook) who want paying before you can access most things.

We have to be thankful of the moderators and admin running this forum. I can only hope they are working on a fix as this isn't normal.

That's true, but somehow I don't think the forum is getting paid anything for them - but I'd live with them if that was the case.

Otherwise I'd just like to stop getting them as they're f*****g annoying.

Try looking at a (free) You Tube video these days. You get 3 ads before you start, which you can't skip, then an ad in the middle; now that is annoying, especially if it's a music video.
At least with the pop-ups on here, you only have to click the x!

Last few times I have logged onto the site and pressed "Click to enter forum" I get an Ad pop up. Only started happening today

Yes, it's only started today.

I know what Pondrew means about YouTube but they get paid by the advertisers, and I believe you can subscribe to avoid the ads.

If z4forum is getting revenue from them fine, but I'd happily pay the forum to get rid of them!

Out of interest, I’m on iPad / Safari with latest update 14.4.2 and no third party blocking software and I’m not getting any pop-ups.
