Pop from sub

Getting an intermittent pop from the sub behind drivers' seat and the dash screen seems to reset itself immediately afterwards.
Happens while driving and also at standstill. Happens when audio isn't even active. Weird.
Becoming an irritation. Any suggestions before I start tinkering?
