Poor Phone Connection

Hi can anyone help ? Over the last few months when using the Bluetooth on my car the reception is very poor, sometimes inaudible. This only happens sometimes not all the time! Using a iphone 5 at the moment.
 
Possibly a stupid question but are you sure it's not just varying network strength on your phone in different locations?

I've had no issues with my iPhone 5 and in car BT.

Try a different phone or get apple to replace it would be the suggestion
 
Signal strength not the problem, was really bad on Sunday & had full strength signal. Used a iPhone 4 before this one & sometimes people told me it was a bad line from lime to time. I was on the receiving end on Sunday as my wife was in the zed, could not make her out it was shocking ! Is there a software update I may require ? Or are newer phones compatible with the bt system, have Bluetooth on my e92 & reception is as clear as a wistle.
 
Iphones are not renown for their good reception. Great devices, but not great reception. I don't have a 5, so would hope they've improved it.
 
Hi Kermit1970, I have just been reading your post about the bad reception from your car phone. Did you manage to get i sorted out?

I have a Z4 SDRIVE M SPORT AUTO 2010, my phone is the iphone 5. Can you advise me on any cures please. Thank you! :thumbsup:
 
My issue seems to be the car is too noisy for people to hear me, but have only just moved from an F10 so guessing poor call quality is part & parcel of a car many years old.

I don't understand why but I hadn't managed to get my nexus 4 to pair the contacts , at all. Read up on forums and I wasn't alone. Then this morning ... Voila - all synced. No idea how or why, maybe my phone has had a targeted update.
