Poor fitting front bumper

I’ve just had fitted some new headlights as the old ones had a problem with condensation. My local independent bmw specialist fitted them. However they do appear to be ever so slightly smaller than the standard ones. This has then accentuated the gap between the bumper and the headlight and of the wing. It has never been a great fit to be honest and I' m wondering if there is anything I can do to improve it. I’m trying to avoid buying a new bumper if possible. Anyone any ideas on what I can do? Or know what is causing such a bad fit?

The gap between the wing and the bumper looks too big from the top picture.

I don't think they have put the bumper back on correctly.

The problem is that the brackets on the corners (the bit you see as black) are weakened by removal and refitting. You need to invest in a new pair from BMW and that will make a massive improvement to the shut lines in that area and pull the whole bumper up towards the lights. what you should see is just the black line of the bracket flush with wing and bumper cover.

Once done you can juggle the front edge of the bumper cover back and forth and the bonnet up and down to get everything spot on.

Before you fit the new bumper brackets make sure the bumper can be pushed up to a perfect fit and is not fouling on the bottom of the lights. If it is the lights may need raising slightly first, before you start damaging your new brackets

Thanks Phil I'll get some new ones. Just relieved it can be fixed without needing a new bumper. Another quick question has anyone who has these lights found that they shine out a blue line at the top of the light level range. For example they lights up signs with a almost rainbow effect which is very strange odd and distracting.
