Hi all, can any zed owners with a pond give me any winter advice please?-thanks :)

Advice is what respect?
Do you have fish in it, If so how deep is it?
Freezing causing damage?

Mine's easy this year as the heron ate everything a month ago , so nothing to worry about

Yes 14 fish in it, maybe 2ft deep, I've heard you are supposed to float a pingpong ball or similar to stop it freezing?

Balls don't work if it completely freezes. I had goldfish in blocks of ice once. They were never the same again.

A pond heater that floats in the water is your best bet. I used one for years with no problems.

Needs to be 3' deep really for fish as they seek the 4 degree water at the bottom that is densest. You can float things like a tennis ball, but only to give you a way of popping the ball out to allow air for the fish. Never hit ice to break it as that kills the fish with shock waves.
Fit a small floating pond heater or move the fish.

Excellent ......

I always keep pump, filter and airstone running 24/7 throughout the winter months to keep some movement in the water so there is always an area free of ice should it freeze. Pond is currently netted to prevent leaves falling in and rotting where the fish hang out. Hopefully the leaf fall is all but over so that will come off soon.

I will continue to do (but probably less frequently than during rest of year) partial water changes and filter cleans to keep things fresh.

Personally never bothered with a heater and the little b*****rs (Orfe and Comets) have survived happily for the last 20 years or so.

I really learn a lot from this forum :)
I thought about a pond for my back garden once..but decided a hot tub installed next year might be the way forward instead.

Ruby - feel free to drop by and sit in my pond anytime. It will give you the feeling if sitting in water in a garden should be on your wish list.
