Finally collected the car from Andy today and brought it home. All settled in for the night now.
Andy’s been great to deal with and I’m delighted with the car.

I suppose now would be a good time to tell you about all the 'issues' with the car, then!
Joking, I am!

It looks better in your 5* garage than in my tip! :D

Looking great Ian.

That's an impressive man cave now - it looks like you have extended it a bit!

For those who don't know Ian; he and his lovely wife are two of the most genuinely nice people I have met, probably ever.

Ian is a gent and a scholar and his wife is whatever that is in female form. :D I couldn't have sold the car to nicer people and I know it will be cherished.

No it’s no bigger than when you visited a few years ago. The difference is that it was a carport then. Last year we had a concrete floor laid, electric doors installed and additional steel cladding added so it is now a lockable garage. Now it’s secure I have shelved it out and have everything handy. I love it!

Beautifully put Pondrew.

I bought a set of wheels from Ian in 2018 (where did those 5 years go?) and took my nephew who needed a day out at the time. It was a 355 mile round trip and knowing how far I had come Ian and his wife very kindly even provided us with some lunch. True hospitality and so much more than just a transaction.

So Ian, which car are you not going to use enough now?
Probably that white one. Come on! You wouldn’t want it to get dirty and if I start to drive it Andy might demand I return it to him. He would see using it as abuse. :D

Thanks Andy, the cheque is in the post. 😉
Joking apart, I wish all financial actions were this smooth with likeable people.

Good stuff. Trust you didn’t find a malteser in the boot? 8)

My wife is a chocoholic so if there had been one there she would have found it. :D

I think Paul was eluding to my 'ball and chain' being Maltese! If so, someone pays attention to my nonsense! :D
