fitted poly bushes to the rear of the front wishbones on the weekend this has made such a difference under heavy braking the car is much more stable a £50 mod that is worth every penny bought them off ebay item no 390152243367
thanks z4phill! I have just ordered some! How hard are they to fit, I heard you need a press? I have a nice heavey duty vice and a pit to work under the car.... any pointers for a novice taking them off? Does the car need to be tracked afterwards?
Getting the old ones off was the hard job , I got a hack saw blade round the rubber took the outer caseing off and put it in a vice then dissasembled the hacksaw put the blade inside the outer alloy casing and put two cuts in the outer bush this then just pops out , then with the pice that is still on the wish bone I put a stright cut with a disc cutter allong the lenth of the inner bush as soon as you are through ot just pops off , I used two block's of wood and a large vice to press the new bush into the housing it was tough but if you have access to a press it would be easy , then just push the blue pice on to the end of the wishbone tap the outer over it and bolt back into place the job took me about 1.5 hours but I do have the luxury of having a bradbury lift in the workshop its a shame you are so far away You coud have come over and done it at my place
ps I will be getting my tracking checked just in case , you shoud be able to do the job no problem with a pit
