Poly bush ride comfort question

I was wondering if anyone on here with the 3.0 msport suspension has had their bushing replaced with the Poly ones? I'm considering getting it done on mine (most bushings are ordered) but it seems more and more folk are complaining the ride is too harsh. Which leads me to ask what the rest of their suspension set up entails.

I'd much like to hear your opinion and if anyone has a 3.0 with the sports suspension an poly bushings, could I get a quick 10 minute ride as a passenger? :?

I have replaced the rear front suspension bushing with poly. No noticable difference in ride, however it must by definition of replacing an oil filled OEM bush with a solid one transmit more noise and vibration to the bodyshell. It supposedly tightened the front too but with different tracking and wheels I'd never know

Not really noticed any 'downsides' to putting polly bushes in (front only)

It's got fairly stiff suspension as is, compared to most euro boxes anyway.

The only differances i noticed was, less/no tramlining and more positive turn in.

My bro stuck some in his E46 though and found that it made the ride a bit more harsh, but I haven't noticed anything on my Z4 3.0

Do it, do it now :poke:

Next stop for me is poly bushing the rear, as since changing to non-runflats the rear feels like there's a bit of 'play' when turning in to a tight corner, might just be the tyres though i guess!

Aebous, I've written about this before: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18747&hilit=bushes

Basically, no difference in ride comfort or harshness at all IMO :)

Wrong end of the country for a test drive though!

Ah sweet guys thanks for the replies. I'm going to go ahead and swap em for poly's me thinks. I'd much rather have better performance than comfort (not old yet :P). Besides if it's too rough then I'll have that excuse I've been needing to get a 2nd car to drive to work.

A11y, somehow I missed that post....I'm going to blame beer and girlfriends. Thanks for it!
